From the lush terraces of the Imenan Valley to the panoramic heights of 2300m passes, every pedal stroke reveals a world of snow-capped peaks and vibrant red-earth villages. This e-bike adventure takes place in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, just a short drive from the vibrant city of Marrakech. The High Atlas Mountains are a spectacular setting for a mountain biking trip with hundreds of miles of dusty singletrack just waiting to be explored. With many years of experience guiding in the region, your local hosts can help you explore this region’s hidden riding potential.
The scenery makes for an impressive backdrop to your journey. The rugged and remote terrain has resisted the pressured of the modern world and feels like a window into a bygone era. Dramatic valleys offer vivid contrasts with the lush green irrigated fields along the valley bottom set against the barren rocky scree slopes that lead up to the snow-capped peaks.

What to Expect
Day 1: Marrakech – Ourika Valley – Imlil
After breakfast at the hotel, transfers to Ourika valley where you start your bike trip, first climb it’s up to Tadmamt pass, after lunch ride down to town Asni where you finish your first day bike trip, transfers to Imlil, spend the night in nice hotel.
Day 2: Imlil – Imenan valley – Imlil
After breakfast, winding your way up the zig-zag route though the Tizi n’Tamaterte pass at attitude of 2300 meters high, we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Toubkal peak and Sublime Mountain. From the pass we may descend by off-road, and we’ll journey along the amazing Imenan Valley with perfect Atlas view over the cultivate terraces and through more traditional Berber villages.
Day 03: Imlil – Ouirgane
Today we will ride along the Azzaden valley and then over to Tinzert village which is situated at the top of the beautiful Ouirgane park, following an easy trail and dirt road to get to Ouirgane where we stay for the night.
Day 4: Ouirgane – Amizmiz – Marrakech
We will bike through the olive trees over to Tizi Ouzla to get to the Amizmiz valley and come into it from the top passing through many villages and riding smooth flowing dirt road that go through fields and dry hills. This day will take us to some Berber village where our bike trips end, transfers back to Marrakech.

We recommend packing the following items:
- Normal daily clothes
- Padded cycling shorts and gloves
- Breathable top or cycling jersey
- Sunglasses/eye protection
- Stiff-soled shoes suitable for cycling
- Waterproofs and long cycling trousers
- For the earlier departures you may need some warmer layers
- Sun cream
- Water bottle or Camelback
Energy cycling gels offer a quick form of crabs replenishment. Most contain the simple crab sugar, which is the fastest form of energy to replace glycogen. It’s suggested that people who cycle at a moderate intensity for more than 90 minutes, need to replace between 30g and 65g of carbohydrates per hour and we would thoroughly recommend bringing some of these with you, as well as some energy bars.
Accommodation
During this adventure, you will be staying in a Berber guest house in the Berber village, but we can also update the accommodation suits your needs.
